  1. Son of a gastronomic and hotel family

    When Steffen Waitz was born as the eldest son of restaurateurs Christel and Edwin Waitz, his grandparents Kunigunde and Adolf's inn "Zum Engel", with 45 rooms, had already become a small hotel business with a gourmet restaurant. Waitz grew up in his family's restaurant business.

  2. From kitchen trainee...

    After finishing school, Steffen Waitz spent ten years working as a trainee in the kitchen and service in hotels, gaining gastronomic experience in renowned hotels and restaurants in Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.

  3. ...to the cook...

    At the "Flairhotel Adler" in Pfullendorf, Steffen Waitz completes his training as a chef. In January 1997 he wins first place in the cooking competition "Das beste Dessert" and "Laurentius". April 1997 he gets the 4th place in the "Achenbach Prize", passes the aptitude test to become a trainer in the same year.

  4. ...to the Hotel Magician Diploma

    Steffen Waitz completes his hotel manager diploma in Switzerland, takes over the management for the restaurant "Color" at the "BROADMOOR Hotel" in Springs in the USA after almost ten years of international gastronomic experience and after a management trainee...

  5. Managing Director of Landhaus Hotel Waitz

    After 32 years, Edwin and Christel Waitz pass the management of the "Waitz Landhaus Hotel" in Mühlheim-Lämmerspiel into the hands of their son Steffen Waitz with his wife Sabine and their daughter Marion Waitz.

  6. Landhaus Hotel Waitz

    45 employees, 75 rooms, 15 banquet and meeting rooms, a wellness center, the main restaurant "Das Waitz" and the event location "Edvino". with 80 seats, is managed by Steffen Waitz with his sister and his wife in the 4th generation.

After more than 32 years Steffen Waitz founded the consulting and expert office WAITZ CONSULTING for the hotel and restaurant industry.
